Adding to the point of infrastructure development. Due to lockdown many of the migrant workers who were there in cities to find employment returned to their villages and took up agriculture. Those who own lands or those who can afford to take land on lease continued cultivation but many of the workers joined the agricultural labour force. Now there is surplus labour in the agricultural sector who mostly gain anything. Government should definitely work on the infrastructure and increase the employment in rural areas.

The most important aaspect to be taken into consideration is infrastructural development at large scale which will create employment as well as demand for raw materials. For this huge revenue has to be generated.
Ofcourse this will increase fiscal deficit but increase in FDI could compensate, moreover govt. is privatising non performing PSU’s which is a great initiative.

It is true that adequate efforts by the government are required to revive the economy after crisis of covid-19.

There is a need to encourage Direct Selling companies in India so that income level of the people can be increased since it converts consumers into prosumers. Apart from that reasonably priced, high speed and steady internet should be provided in rural areas so that people can avail telemedicine and on-line educational opportunities.

as you already mentioned that india’s economy is a consumption economy so to bring it back buying and selling of goods is necessary .also focussing on atmnirbhar bharat indian government has alloted 20 lakh crores for MSME’s,small cottage industries and farmers etc. giving way to new era for economy development by expanding local bussiness and giving it exposure to entire world.now coming to the point these ideas should be executed well on the ground level.which will create huge employment which will further circulate money further strengthning our economy. after this pandemic is over government should encourage tourism sector which further adds to economy
