According to me ganga is the largest river of our country . It is already declared ganga is the national river it originates from gangotri and it is traveling 2525 km and mixes into ganga sagar. We worship Ma ganga and without ganga water we cannot any worship done , when we take holi deep we feel Good it is auspicious. Many peoples livelihood is depends on ganga , fisherman etc. we use ganga for our transportation purpose within a very short time we can reach our destination. But inspire of that ganga is the most polluted river . People throw their waste into ganga. Spiritual people throw fruits and flowers to the ma ganga. We know at the time of immersion thousands and thousands idol leave into the ganga . Through swarage system chemical and wastage goes to the ganga . Some of the community they throw the dead body into the ganga and people use it cleaning washing .,bathing even defecation into the ganga . But we have to save save ganga , we know prime minister’s launch the program namami ganga .This is not enough , we common people have to work to save the ganga..Those people living local area they have to set up a committee to clean the ganga , students also have to work to clean the ganga. It requires strong awareness that people should not use ganga to dump the wastage and if local people set up a committee those will not listen they will be heavy penalized ,only govt cannot do it we common people has to join hands to save ma ganga then it is possible.

Re.How can river Ganga be cleaned?….People need to come out of blind faith and those spreading such for their living be stopped. Also dumping wastes be curbed with more water treatment plants encouraged.
Introduce cheap burial sites to encourage people to use it rather than dumping their loved ones bodies in river.
Burials are getting expensive .It frightens person on dying moments.
