Background:

  • In November 2020, United States of America will have elections to elect their next president.
  • Donald Trump, the 45th and current president of the United States, has been in power since January 20th 2017. He succeeded Barrack Obama and is from the Republican political party.
  • Trump has a strong sense of business and has been specialized in economics. Before diving into politics, he has been a businessman and a television person.

Pros :

  • Trump has a confident and powerful personality which is a plus point for the field of politics. Instead of practising nepotism towards a particular group or getting into lobbies, he chooses to be the main power himself and promotes his strengths.
  • Tax cuts for companies and individuals helped in economic growth.
  • The unemployment rate was low under Donald Trump’s presidency until the outbreak of COVID-19.

Cons:

  • Trump is failed in controlling COVID-19 outbreak in the USA. As of August 2020, there 60 lakh cases & 82,000 COVID deaths in the country.
  • He withdrew the USA from the Paris Agreement on Climate change mitigation. This agreement is very important to work on environmental protection, and the withdrawal of the USA is a regressive step.
  • Trump is against liberal immigration policies. This is affecting the employment of immigrants and also IT companies in the USA.
  • He initiated the US-China trade war, which affected many businesses and hence the global economy. Farmers in the USA faced losses because China imposed restrictions on its imports from the USA.
  • Racism & white supremacy has increased in Trump’s term.
  • Till recently, the USA was considered as a global leader by many. But many people are in the opinion that in Trump’s term, the USA is losing its position as a global leader.
  • The US national debt has increased by approximately $6.6 trillion under Donald Trump’s presidency.
  • His self-promotion and launching himself as a brand game has been played strongly, more than the significant goals as a president.
  • Trump has been through a lot of bankruptcy and he openly tries to bend the laws to his favour to save himself from the governments and banks to burden him anymore. This shows some flaws in his personality like a lack of responsibility towards his position.
  • Trump has been prioritizing some noticeable issues like the Muslim immigration clampdown, challenging the independence of the Fed, bizarre and ill-qualified cabinet selections, antagonizing China and other trading partners for no reason or embracing Russia and its rogue regime. This is not acceptable beyond limits and can turn people and communities against him.
  • Under Trump, the US economy and long-term interest rates are sky-rising by day. This, in turn, increases the strength of dollars. This can be trouble for developing countries like Brazil, India and Russia, whose economies are relatively low.
  • The boosting of public spending and cutting down on taxes may be alarming as the rate of inflation will increase. This will also impact on financial trades.

Conclusion :

Trump got so much criticism in his term. However, he has supporters as well. The coming elections will reveal whether the citizens are with him or not.

This should be a PRO. “increases the strength of dollars. This can be trouble for developing countries like Brazil, India and Russia, whose economies are relatively low.” The BRICS nations have the potential to severely damage the value of the dollar.

For all you Democrats above, we were in much better shape with Trump as our leader than we are now with Biden. Do you really think this country is going to thrive with the Biden Crime Family in charge? Talk about lies, deception, crookedness, theft, selling out of our country through being paid for Biden’s influence, — and, oh, yes, his great concern for the people of Maui (while he slept through the ceremony after he didn’t even care enough to comment for two weeks after the wildfires occurred). This is just innate evil being forced upon the American people. And it is because most Americans don’t do their homework and care only about themselves. Let’s get it together people and try to do what’s best for the country!

I have to say that no matter who is elected you will all hate him in the end. There is NO RESPECT for anyone elected. His name will ALWAYS be dragged through the mud. President Clinton did good things, Reagan did good things, Trump has done good things too. But every one of these presidents, I have heard terrible things about. And if Joe Biden gets in you will hear about all his imperfections too. People love drama. I personally hate drama. WE SHOULD ALL HAVE RESPECT. 0

You know, that’s kind of harsh, but if it’s your opinion then believe it. I think that everyone should have some respect. Even if that person is the worst person in the world. We can’t just go up to them and start insulting them for no reason. But it’s your opinion, and I respect it. Like everyone should.

Trump is by far the worst president. President Trump has said he would ‘protect’ and ‘fight for’ workers. Instead, his administration has systematically done the opposite. Trump administration’s mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic marks the administration’s most glaring failure of leadership. However, the administration’s response to the pandemic is in no way distinct from its approach to governing since President Trump’s first day on the job. The administration has systematically promoted the interests of corporate executives and shareholders over those of working people and failed to protect workers’ safety, wages, and rights.

Can anyone give me one good reason to vote for Biden,
Without bashing, or bringing up Trump ?
I’ve yet to find one liberal Biden supporter to do so, enough bashing Trump, what are Joe Biden’s Pros and cons ?
Also, is there ever been one politician who doesn’t lie, that only has pros and no cons ? NO ?
    they All have baggage.
Far to many people, adults, in this country need to GROW UP

This really has nothing to do with clinton…

I can give you one….the most important one that most likely won him this presidency. He projects calmness and empathy to the plights of classes of people in stark contrast to Trump’s chaos. He doesn’t insult people, call people names, give his opponents condescending nicknames, He has a calming presence and is for the PEOPLE of this country, not the marketing of himself. It is evident by the GOP success in both the House and Senate races that people are not rejecting the Republican values, they are rejecting the man. Donald Trump single handedly lost this election for the Republicans with his mouth and hateful tone. A true leader protects ALL the people, not just the pretty or rich.

Agree for too long this president has used the white house for his own gain. He stays on Twitter like a teenager it is not his policies it is his character. He argues with actors on social media if that is the kind of president people want then we deserve it.

I observed all your opinions. I am not a Trump lover myself. I do own my own business. Perhaps back in 2017 he had his wits about himself. Frankly, I didn’t see much change except a lot of complaining and degrading Trump did. Since I own my own business. I rely on clients to keep me afloat. Currently. Due to his lack their of Presidential abilities he did not contribute to me personally holding my business up. My clients lost jobs all due to a Microorganism called Coronavirus. Doing so he personally let me down as a business owner and a American. He is a great businessman and I loved him on Apprentice. But when it comes to Lives vs Economy. I vote lives. He has killed over 200 thousand innocent lives which could have voted this election, that is more than Sparta vs Rome in BC which lost 100,000 lives during a Pandemic and more then the Flu in 1918. So how can this so called President be a President to the whole world when he is letting us all down. As the saying goes

Stand Up and Pay Attention. Its not about likes or business qualities. It is about saving lives.

Now do you want to continue with this guy who will be killing more people by the end of the year or do you want to move forward and permanently shut this virus down. I assure you it won’t be by Trump. All his cabinets have COVID-19 even his son.

    • Chris, Nov 8, 2020 @ 9:14 pm Reply

Not accurate. From 1918-1919 over 50 million people died from a virus worldwide. Over 600k in the USA alone and people from the ages 5-65 died from that.
Covid not even close to that.

hi can someone just please give me an unbiased opinion… please? i’m very confused :) so far i’ve picked up that he’s good at some things but he’s over all just not that swell of a guy… can someone please explain why this is so insanely aggressive thank u

    • onkar singh, Nov 7, 2020 @ 5:37 pm Reply

As far I concerned about Trump administration, he did a lot for Americans. He lifted his army from Afghanistan as it is a stress for his country’s economy and he made a lot of agreement with developed as well as with the developing countries. He boosted the country’s economy. I agree on that point that he is very aggressive and quick decisioner. And about mishandling of crisis, do u think that a person can’t commit any mistake. Yet it was his biggest mistake. But he being a good political person, lead his country very well.

I feel the opposite. Based on our economy and how well America is doing world-side in terms of joblessness and welfare, we have never done better as a country. Trump is a businessman and runs this country like a business, as it should be done. We cannot improve our infrastructure without assets.. Trump is getting those assets. He also has been working to rebuild many government infrastructures that simply were not working, did the Amercian people no good and sucked up US revenue to keep going.

I am PROUD to be an American and regardless of what you feel about our President, I find it distasteful for any American to make such statements about actually being an American. I find it quite ironic, how when the Obama was in office, his record as President showed he was horrible at united Americans, he was extremely bias, to the point of prejudice and did nothing for the moral of this country.. He plunged us into more and more economic debt, poverty, and literally divided our Nation. Yet, you didn’t see those that voted for the other guy get all pissy.

I’m no trump fan but many of the things in the con list are either opinion based or has nothing to do with the presidency but the government as a whole. So it cannot be linked to any one person.

As a person he is terrible but as a president, honestly we could have worse. Because no matter who is the president they instantly get slammed and demonized. Some would say it wasn’t this bad with past presidents but I lived through past presidents as well and yes it was this bad.

        • Beth, Nov 7, 2020 @ 12:00 am Reply

Its really easy to Google “The Cons of the Trump Presidency”. I just did. There are all sorts of articles about it.

      • Ariel, Sep 20, 2020 @ 10:14 am Reply

First, the country should not be run like a business. Businesses only care about the almighty dollar and how to maximize it regardless of the its cost or impact on society. Government was created by the people for the people, not to maximize profits and pad the wealthy’s pockets (which is why the USPS delivers to places that are not profitable where private delivery services won’t).
My issues with Trump have little to do with policies or politics, it is about a fundamental lack of character. Why is the President of the United States bullying people on twitter????? He is 74 years old and act’s like a teenager. No other president, Republican or Democrat ever acted like this. The other issue is the complete disregard for our laws. He has no problem breaking a law or having others break laws for him as long as he can figure out a loop hole somewhere to cover his bacon. Again, no other president (well maybe Nixon…) had to resort to these measures. Regardless of the political party, a President should be able to show humility when needed and not always resort to force to try and get their way. The laws should apply to everyone (which is why Clinton got impeached, and Trump is no exception… although if Trump got a BJ and lied about it, I don’t think it would surprise anyone at this point)

For every good thing Trump does, 4 more bad or terrible things come on top and it has for too long in this country. His manners and behaviors are an embarrassment and no American should want to be represented by him, and his economic decisions should not be the only thing to back him up. Healthcare, the thing keeping people alive, surely isn’t doing too great under his presidency. Especially now with Covid, hence why we are suffering so much more. We could be done with it under a better person. Keep America great with Trump? No. Make it great by giving someone else another chance, because he sure had his and look at us now.
