Failures :-

  • The government failed to pass the Land Acquisition Bill under government acquires private land for development purpose.
  • Even after many attempts, government still struggles to bring peace in Kashmir.
  • Problem of the Naxalite-Maoist insurgency with the government is still on rise.
  • Black Money is not yet retrieved by the government.
  • Government failed to eradicate unemployment as it promised during election.
  • Government failed to stop the terrorism activates at Line of Control.
  • There is still lack of accountancy in Railway department as several times Trains get derailed under their period.
  • Minorities are feeling more insecure than earlier.
  • Women reservation Bill is still pending.
  • The biggest question to the government is even after investing huge sum of money in government sector, why people still prefers:
    1. To go to private hospitals
    2. Send their children to private schools.
    3. Depends on private sector?
  • Demonetisation faced appreciation as well as criticism. Eliminating 500 and 1000 rs notes severely hit the small enterprises and led to the cash crash during demonetization phase. Common people struggled a lot. According to annual RBI’s report, 99% of the demonetized notes returned to banks. This report revealed that the primary purpose of demonetization was not served.
  • GST implementation caused more cash burn for businessmen. It affected small businessmen more as they needed to hire accountants to shift their businesses to GST taxation.

Conclusion :-

If we go by Opinions Polls and the news on the national channels, Modi government is moving in the right direction and we have to congratulate team Modi for doing excellent work. Some changes have severely affected the economy and citizens. If demontization was implemented more effectively, it would have given much better results and would have avoided struggles of commoners. Many steps taken may seem wrong now, but on long-term perspective, they are good for both the people and the country. He has to live up to the ‘sabka saathsabka vikas’ slogan. It is too early to decide if the government is failed or not.

  1. The problem with our current Central Government can be summed up in a single phrase- faulty implementation. I strongly believe that while initially this govt tried to bring some radical changes, the implementation of these changes made them utter failures. This in turn appears to have discouraged them to bring any other such change into the system.
Most of their schemes appear nice on paper. But the truth is their practicality is limited and their implementation miserable. The govt has again fallen back upon welfare schemes(which only work on the short term) like many previous govts. Welfare schemes are good and everything but they do not bring progress. The Economy is in a worse state than it was during the previous decade’s recession. While the rest of the world got richer, we actually faltered in our GDP growth.
The fact that over 50% of our sitting MPs have criminal records against them is another unthinkable and rather disgusting thing that has happened. This number shows how rotten our political system has become.

  2. Modi ji is really working hard as triple talaak and other fields also kisi ne tou socha auraton ke liye.. 🙂

  3. The present Govt has done many good things. We expect more concretely. For youth development the Govt has to do more. Co- curricular activities like NSS , NCC
    are to be encouraged.

  4. Before touching general public, any kind of reforms must begin with cleaning dirty politics and punishing corrupt politicians, which is yet to be done by any govt in India

    1. Punishing culprits is never the responsibility of any government, it is the job of judiciary. If we make our policing more reliable then situation can get better.

    2. exactly politicians gain power because people who live among us support them, no politician can survive in his/her stream without support from people, so we should first change the mindset of these people among us which will ultimately clean the politics

  5. It seems Modi Govt has taken so many jobs in hand, and is not able to complete.
This also puts a financial burden on common people.
Enough Jobs have not been created.
In Judiciary so many vacancies are there but filling up of them is very slow with the result backlog of court cases is not reducing.
Economic offences are increasing.Govt should treat this as criminal offence if the offence is of 50 crore or above.Another is if a person is habitual economic offender,he should also be treated like criminal offender.

  6. In my opinion modi’s goverment is right in every prospective because this goverment always think about the welfare of the citizens. Ever since BJP govt came in the power till than they took so many great dicesion such as demonetiastion ,GST and so many other scheme in the welfare of the women , poor people and youth of the nation. But whenever bjp govt taken the right decisions opposition parties are always criticies , espcially congress and i frimly believe that bjp agian make their govt in next lok sabha election .
